Tag managers make it easy to add tags, and just as easy to add problems. A few habits keep containers healthy.
Name things consistently
- Start tag names with the vendor and purpose
- Name triggers after the condition they check
- Keep variables tied to the data layer
Control changes
Review every publish, test in preview first and keep a short changelog. Remove unused tags every quarter.
